Recommended Image Size for Twitter

Twitter images appear in the desktop timeline at 506 pixels wide by 253 pixels tall and adjusts automatically on the mobile devices according to the display size.

Twitter also automatically displays images from the shared link. It shows full image size and a short link unlike facebook.

There is not much difference when you only share image. Twitter will crop from the top and bottom, leaving the middle of the image as. Sharing image will drive the engagement and is key to growth. It also gives a quick idea without having to read in detail.

Images for Large Twitter Card should be at least 506px in width, and at least 150px in height. Image must be less than 1MB in size.

In the feed, Pinterest images have a width of 235 pixels and the height will scale accordingly. If you click to expand a Pinned image, the image will have a width of 736 pixels. The height, again, scales accordingly. According to Pinterest, the best aspect ratio for Pinterest images is between 2:3 and 1:3.5, with a minimum width of 600 pixels.

Instagram makes everything easy. The images are 510px wide and 510px tall. The thumbnail photos that appear on one’s profile page are 161 x 161.
