It is likely that Google settled on the name ‘Pixel’ given the incredible performance of it’s camera. Camera is one of the most important and highly discussed factor for anyone who love clicking photographs, be it amateurs or professionals.
DxOMark in it’s summary:
Pixel raises the bar for what is possible with a smartphone camera. Image quality continues to improve, and the increased use of HDR+ to render scenes that have previously been difficult for small sensors such as those in smartphones broadens what is possible with these ubiquitous devices. While we have reviewed other smartphone cameras that matched the Pixel’s numbers in a few categories, the Pixel is uniquely capable of capturing outstanding images under a wide variety of conditions, and is also among the best we have tested for video capture.
Performance Analysis:
Technical Specifications:
With a new 12.3 megapixel sensor coupled with Large 1.55μm pixels and f/2.0 aperture it works well in all light situations. We often have Smartphones with great specs on the paper which hardly translates into performance, but with Google making a smartphone inside out this could be a game changer and landmark phone in the right direction when it comes to photography. The camera hardware is very well complimented by internal software and latest Android OS Nougat.
The Google Pixel will come in two models Pixel and Pixel XL.
Both the phones will have these specs:
12.3MP IMX378
