Another much talked about feature is Dual Pixel RAW. The camera will be able to record one normal RAW file as well as a Dual Pixel RAW file. You can then use Canon’s Digital Photo Professional and have access to three new post processing techniques listed below:

  • Image Micro-adjustment: by using the depth information, fine adjustment enables the position of the maximum sharpness and resolution.
  • Bokeh Shift: to change the position of the previous blur (original: re-positions the viewpoint of foreground bokeh for a more pleasing result).
  • Ghosting Reduction: reduces the ghost and flare.

It will use LP-E6N / LP-E6 battery and will give 900 shots at full charge. As for the dimensions it will be 116.4mm X 150.7mm X 75.9mm and will weigh 890g for body only. The new Canon 5D Mark IV looks promising but we need to wait for it’s actual performance in the field. Canon’s 5D Mark III is already a very successful camera and professionals love it for it’s all-round abilities when coupled with the right lenses. We are expecting to see a price drop on Canon 5D Mark III as soon as the 5D Mark IV is announced. The price of 5D Mark IV is to be announced and we will update as soon as it is official. It should just above the current price of 5D Mark III which is around $2600 for body only. Let us know in comments below, what you think about the new 5D Mark IV.
